Meet the Founders
Joyce Quarshie, LPN
Joyce Quarshie started her career in healthcare as a nursing assistant and home health aide in 1990, working in long-term care facilities, and as a private duty caregiver in client’s home. In 2005, she graduated from Hennepin Technical College with an associate’s degree in practical nursing and to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She has worked as an LPN in long-term care facilities, Transitional Care Units (TCU), Memory care units, assisted living facilities, and as a private duty nurse in home care settings, assisting patients with their care needs. Joyce has 35 years’ experience in the healthcare field, and what excites her about her nursing career is going the extra mile for all the clients she assists.
Maxwell Afram, RN, BSN, PHN
Maxwell Afram started his career in healthcare in 1996 as a nursing assistant and home health aide, and worked in long-term care facilities, and as private duty caregiver. In 2006, he graduated from Hennepin Technical College as a Licensed practical nurse, and worked in long term care facilities, Transitional Care Units (TCU), Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), and home care settings. In 2018, he graduated with an associate degree in nursing at Minnesota State College Southeast Technical, then became a nurse manager of an assisted living facility, managing the nursing staff and as a clinical coordinator for 4 years. In 2020, he graduated from Metropolitan State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), and Public Health Nurse (PHN) and has been working in the hospital setting. Maxwell has extensive 29 years’ experience in healthcare. A happy and well-pleased patient gives Maxwell a sense of accomplishment.
